The agricultural cooperative La Fiorita was established in 1977. Today, its memebrs are 250 small and micro farms from the entire Val Belluna and Agordino areas, who have chosen to share the positive values of aggregation, mutuality and the sharing of a model of sustainable and environmentally friendly territorial development within the cooperative.
Particular attention is paid to the ancient “minor” cereals of the local tradition such as Sponcio maize, Spelta Alpine spelt, wheat, and Belluno barley, but also to the Cesiomaggiore potato and ancient varieties of beans such as Gialét, Bala Rossa, Bonei, and the Lamon bean of the Belluno Valley.
