The Vecio Pomer farm is committed to recovering and reproducing the fruit biodiversity of the Belluno area. A research that the owners of the farm have carried out for a long time.
Thanks to an articulated study, they have managed to create a field-catalogue dedicated to biodiversity. This is a living archive composed of hundreds of apple, pear, plum and American vine plants that belong to some varieties at risk of extinction.
An area has also been set aside for the creation of a non-intensive, organically certified orchard. All this is intended to save and enhance the local fruit trees, which are vigorous and strong and do not require special treatments.
