What could be better than an easy walk to discover the beauty of one of Italy’s Most Beautiful Hamlets? Leave your car near the square and enjoy a walk through history, art and nature. Start with a visit to the Archaeological Museum and the Palace of the Magnificent Community and admire the frescoes and narrow streets. Descend slowly into nature and do not miss the opportunity of a visit to the “Giazera,” a special underground structure that used to allow food to be preserved. Continue through meadows and groves where, if you are lucky, you will encounter some wild animals.
The small churches of Pagogna and Col and the many votive niches will provide the background to your photos. As you walk back up to the village, you will enjoy the magnificent view of the Pre-Alps from Via XXXI Ottobre. The romantic “Karera” street will lead you to the ancient village of Follo with its beautiful little frescoed church. Finally, the way back up to the starting point will allow you to admire the majesty of the Dolomites reflected in the river Piave.
