AMONG PASTURES AND HUTS

N.2309
Anello Val d'Arc - Salvedella - Malga Mont

Description
of the path

If you are looking for a longer path this could be for you!

It is a twelve kilometers itinerary to be covered in about 4 hours for an altitude difference of 850 m on roads and paths.

You can park your car at the end of the Val d’Arc and walk along the wide road that climbs on the left. Reach the saddle at an altitude of 1000 m and from here in a few minutes you will arrive at casera Beta.

The path, except for some slightly more technical sections, continues without too much difficulty among dense beech woods and small clearings, in continuous ups and downs, also crossing paths 2307a and 2308. Once you reach the edge of the wood, the landscape changes radically. Near the ridge you will see the European path E7 that takes from the Canaries to Romania.

The Salvedella Nuova bivouac, which is always open, is an excellent place to take a break from your journey before continuing towards Malga Mont. The path leads to a very busy area immersed in the typical pre-Alpine landscape between pastures and conifers. From Malga Mont the gaze can finally sweep over the Venetian plain to the Venice lagoon and the Dolomites. Return to casera Beta and to the car park descending the Val d’Arc and immersing yourself again into the beech forest and savoring the peace and silence of these evocative and still wild places.
