A fascinating and very popular path, but not as easy as it might appear. The only car park available is the one at Zumelle Castle, so leave your vehicle at the foot of the manor and descend through the forest, enjoying the artistic installations by local artists that you will gradually come across. The entrance to the path to the Blue Grotto is well signposted and will instantly plunge you into a magical atmosphere.
In fact, your steps will soon lead you to the bed of the Rui stream, which you will have to ascend carefully; the moss and seaweed make the path slippery, so in order to avoid accidents you shall be properly equipped with trekking shoes. The small Grotto stands out at the bottom, among the stratified rocks, with its characteristic colour between blue and green and the roar of the small waterfall. Return by the same route or, if you wish to lengthen the hike a little, go up the tarmac road that passes the solitary church of San Donato, a church of Lombard origin.
