AMONG WATER AND NATURE

N.2319
Anello della Cascata del Bognon

Description
of the path

This not particularly demanding walk will leave you breathless! And not for the walk itself, but rather for the wild beauty of the upper Val Brenta: impervious but suggestive as only these valleys can be. Park your car in the recreational area of Melere, where an important event run by the Pro Loco di Trichiana takes place every year in August, and walk along the valley to the Bognon waterfall. Here, the Porcellera stream flows into the river Brenta and creates two suggestive waterfalls that should absolutely be visited even in winter when the ice creates truly unique and spectacular effects.

Pass through the villages of Stabiole and Ventacol and stop to take pictures of the majestic blooms of rare and protected specimens such as the Red Lily, the Martagon Lily and the extremely rare Scarpette della Madonna or Scarpetta di Venere orchids. On your way back to your car, you will be accompanied by thousands of fragrant and auspicious lilies of the valley and sweet wild strawberries.
