AMONG WATER AND NATURE

N.2323
Anello delle Cavarnere

Description
of the path

The most mysterious walk of the Pre-Alps!

Start from the Melere area where you can leave your car and cross the woods and the meadows of Cavarnere. It is rumored that wizards and witches gathered on dark nights to plot their mysteries.

Come back during the Mystery shows organized by the Pro Loco of Trichiana at the end of October and you will discover interesting legends about this territory.

Continue your itinerary towards the small, but very active, hamlet of Nate which hides the church of San Isidoro, owned by the Foscolo di Casteldardo family, mentioned in 1790 but with traces of fifteenth-century construction. The near building is a little mystery, perhaps an ancient hermitage or perhaps a lookout outpost at the time of Serenissima Repubblica of Venice.

At the end of you jorney take the “Riva dell’Oca”, an ancient road connecting to the pastures of the Melere area that will take you back to the place where you left your car.
